Hello everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying their post-Christmas weekend! Ross and I got back from Alabama late last night, with our sister (tech. my sister-in-law, but whatev!). It really was such a wonderful holiday, and we had a lot of great times together with Ross’ side of the family.
So now we’re home for a weekend, recovering from our holiday food. (Does anyone else besides me have a problem with feeling like you still need to eat what’s offered, even if you don’t like any of the food?) I’m so afraid of offending the grandparents on Ross’ side, but my body was not meant to handle southern food. I adore my fresh fruit, vegetables, and whole grains. I think the most fresh fruit and veggies I had throughout the week was from the appetizer selection on Christmas day. And um, well, we had to go do a Walgreens run afterwards for some Benedryl. haha, apparently there had been some cross-contamination between the mixed nuts and fruit/ veggie platters. Oh well, just another memory! 
haha and a post-Christmas dinner nap.
I’ll be back later with more highlights from the week. I just wanted to let y’all know that I haven’t dropped off the face of the earth, I missed you all, and hope everyone had a great Christmas! While the hubs and I are off to conquer our day, I’ll leave you with a picture from Christmas Day.

I definitely feel like I need to eat what is offered. I would rather suck it up than be tortured for eating healthy all the time! I need to work on not caring what people think!
