Good morning! I realize I’ve been MIA for a while, so I wanted to post a few photos to show what I’ve been doing with my family lately.
When we came to Sarasota we first did Christmas with my family. It was a Very Vera Christmas! This photo is of all of my mom’s, sister’s, and my own old and new Vera Bradley.
I love my new Maggie purses (Mediterranean Blue and Mesa Red) and my new Daisy Daisy apron, it matches my blue and green kitchen perfectly! (Note to add: we did get most of the new Vera stuff on super sales, esp. the styles and patterns that were retiring).
We had a fun family night on New Year’s Eve. Nice and low key and with those we love most – my favorite type of night!
My mom and I put together a big buffet of finger foods which included chicken wings, spinach sausage bread, mini egg rolls, potato skins, asparagus twists, fresh veggies, cheese and crackers, and more! Dessert was a chocolate truffle cheesecake my mom and sister put together the night before. I’m sorry I don’t have any pictures of it, but know it was all delicious and home made!
We also used my parents’ new fire pit on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Here are some pictures from the New Year’s Day’s fire and s’more time.
(The above photo is of Ross, me, my mom, my dad, my sister Megan, and her boyfriend Daniel).
Ross and I got the game Cranium (Family Edition) from his aunt, uncle, and cousins while we were in Alabama. We brought it with us to Sarasota and it has made for several fun nights! I love interactive games!
Last night Ross, myself, Megan and her boyfriend all met up at Siesta Key to watch a sunset.
My new header is also from a picture I took of “LC” in the sand last night.
Yes, I did get a lot of crap for it – “oh, is that for the blog? hahaha!” Yes, it is!
We’ve also done plenty of shopping. Mainly browsing for sales, and we have been getting a lot of scrapbook supplies! I officially have my scrapbook I’ll be using to put all of my wedding photos in and a bunch of supplies to get going on my wedding scrapbook! There should be no problem with my goal of getting our wedding scrapbook done by our first anniversary!
You’ll also be pleased to know Ross and I have been trying to stay on top of our fitness-filled lifestyle while out of town! Activities have included 3-mile jogs, biking on my parents’ stationary bike, strength training on the Bow Flex machine they have, stretching, and long walks together.
And of course shopping cardio! haha.
As you can see, I’ve also been working on my blog’s makeover. My goal was to make a blog that looked more simplistic and more professional. Hopefully it’s pretty user friendly! I am much closer to the finished product. Most of what’s left is adding a few widgets back in (including my blogroll, that got deleted somewhere along the way) and more fine-tuning/ tweaking as I see fit.
Well I’m off to get going on the day! It’s the last day with my family, so I probably won’t be posting until we get back to Winter Haven. I’m trying to be optimistic about going back, but honestly? I’m not looking forward to it. I hate being all alone during the days and never having any jobs go through! But Ross and I are going to get through it, keep figuring it out, and keep hopefully waiting to move!!!
Much love bloggies, have a great Saturday! Happy Wedding Day Caitlin!!!
