Mmm, the hubs and I enjoyed the laziest morning. I love not being in a rush to get going on the day, and just being able to start the day slow and relaxed.
Thanks for the comments on the post yesterday! It looks like most people go back and forth between working out by themselves and working out with others, depending on their mood. Good to know, I’m the same exact way!
Ross and I have a semi-full agenda today. A weights work out together (well, “together” meaning we’ll both be in the house working out at the same time), finding storage space for all the Christmas decorations in a closet in the guest bedroom/ office, meeting some friends who are in town for lunch at Olive Garden (it has been AGES since we’ve been to Olive Garden!), then a trip to Target to return a gift hubs got for Christmas (ooh, and Target has their Champion C9 sportsbras on sale, I think I’ll pick one…or two..up with my leftover giftcard mula).
And yes, you read that right. A trip to Target. We have to plan it. It takes 35-45 minutes to get to the closest Target.
Last night we decided we wanted a healthy, super food breakfast to get our Saturday started out right. I thawed some frozen strawberries, frozen mangos, and frozen blueberries overnight in the fridge. This morning we combined them with ground almonds, ground flax seed, a plain fat free Chobani, a banana, ice, and a couple quick squirts of light agave nectar for a super healthy, fruity, protein-filled smoothie. We also each had a piece of whole grain toast with some all natural peanut butter with flax seed in it that Ross got in his stocking at Christmas. It was muy delicioso!!
Oh, and I promised pics of our calzones last night! The dough was just a cheap 44-cent package of dough mix from Walmart you added water to. (If you have a Publix near you, they sell pre-packaged pizza dough that tastes pretty good). Inside each we had provolone cheese, ricotta cheese, and “pizza seasoning” incuding oregano and basil. One calzone had tons of turkey pepperoni and a teensy bit of spinach, one had tons of spinach and some black beans in it. Can you guess who had which calzone?
My calzone was too bready so I didn’t eat all of it.
Ok, well I gotta boogy, time to bust out this day!
What are your plans for today?

awww that stinks that target is 40 minutes away! i dont know what i would do!
Too bready?! Girl – you crazy
Bummer about the Target! At least you found a great deal on the sports bras!
I can beat you on the Target…2 hrs. one direction, or 2 1/2 hrs. the other direction! Grrr… WalMart is 35-40 minutes. Yeah we live in the middle of nowhere! Ha! Enjoy your day!
The calzones look delicious!
I LOVE those Champion sports bras from Target. They’re so comfy and reasonably priced. I didn’t know they were on sale!
Your smoothie looked so good when I pulled your blog up this afternoon that I went and made one for myself
Thanks!
My plans for today are cleaning/organizing my room, going for a run, and babysitting tonight! Woo! haha
Don’t you just love having lazy Saturday mornings with your best friend, who just so happens to be your husband? I sure do!
We’ve planned a trip to Whole Foods today. (I understand, closest one is about 50 minutes away) … have fun!
The snow got in the way of our plans tonight – supposed to go to my mom’s but the roads were awful – we will try again tomorrow though!
Love lazy mornings!
That smoothie looks amazing! But I am so sorry to hear that you have to plan trips to Target. They should have one on every block like Starbucks ;o)
Thanks for adding me, it’s definitely more than ok! You’re on mine, too!
