Um, I’ve been random today and most of the day my head has been in a fog cloud. So I present to you some random thoughts from my day:
- Apple Slices + Dark Chocolate Dreams Peanut Butter = the.supreme.combo. You thought apple slices and regular ol’ pb was good? Just wait.
- Be expecting several posts in the future…one will be a general “Frugal Living” tips page, and the other will be a “Frugal Fitness” tips page.
- Am I the only one who gets SO into (and so stuck in my head) Kanye West’s “Love Lockdown”??? I can hear it in my head just typing the song’s name!! (You can listen to it here). It’s the piano and esp. the drums that do it for me.
- Anytime I hear a Britney song on the radio station my coworker always has on, it makes me think of Caitlin.
- Speaking of Caitlin, she introduced me to this video that is so funny. Everytime I heard Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” today I thought of this video and had to stop myself from laughing out loud.
Gotta love it!!
Other news of today: I tried my Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred dvd. My plan is to alternate it with running, and I’m just starting at the level 1 (I’ve heard intimidating things about the intensity of these 20 minutes!). And I gotta say – she really did work me. I can definitely see where the intensity will be increasing, but I still worked and broke a sweat!!
And even though I just said I was going to alternate Jillian with running, I also ran this evening (I know, a double whammy! What happened to that chick from last week who couldn’t figure out when or how to get off her butt?!?) I ran 2 miles this evening, just to get out and because I wanted to.
Although I definitely had to push harder than usual, I could really feel the tension in my muscles setting in!!
And to conclude this random post, here are tonight’s eats. Not the most interesting, but honey had a super bad sore throat and just wasn’t feeling well, so we wanted throat-soothing components.
Cambell’s Select Mexican Style Chicken Tortilla Soup (very good, I’d highly recommend it or any of the Select soups!), a homemade smoothie (strawberries, kiwi, way over-ripe banana, ice, fat free plain natural yogurt, ground golden flax, ground raw almonds), and a slice of cheesy bread.
I almost forgot – please don’t forget to go vote for this video so they can win and have it shown at the Grammy’s!!!!

Alrighty, I’m done. I hope everyone is finding the small fun, wonderful, creative, humorous, etc., moments in every day! What are some good small moments in time you’ve experienced lately?

That’s so funny how you totally new the mug! Yes! It is from bed bath and beyond! We registered for it when we got married. I love them! another thing we have in common:) And to answer your froth question. I make it with my magic bullet. It’s a mini blender. If you scroll down on my blog I took a picture of it. Have a great night!
My fun moment of the day? Ha, it was reading this complaint letter to Virgin airlines about their food. You should definitely read it, it is sooo well written and hysterical!! I shared it with my love (in class!) and he was laughing so hard he almost puked! Good times. I hope Ross’ sore throat gets better super soon!
haha – i have the same britney/caitlin connection.
Thanks for the video – I love it! Oh, and I definitely think of Caitlin when I hear Britney Spears!
Jillian Michaels sounds intense!!
OMG listen to Kanye’s Robocop song…LOVE it
I got a 35/35 on my bio quiz!! haha that was a sweet moment! Your din looks delish, smoothie, soup…cheezyyy bread?? That’ll clear ya right up!
OMG that was a hilarious video! I was giggling the whole time. I, too, think of Caitlin when Britney comes on my iPod during running! I’m not bold enough to start busting it out though! haha
I have a 30 minute cross training day today and figured I’d just go to the gym and do the elliptical or rowing machine or something. I’d love some at-home options too, though…do you think the Shred DVD would be a good option for that (i.e. similar cardio intensity).
Hey! I hope you feel better! Your dinner actually looks really good
Cheesy bread? I’m in!
Love the Kanye song! Can’t wait for your frugal living and frugal workout posts!
Have a great Wednesday

That song totally gets in my head too.
I love that song, it really does get stuck in my head. The drums definitely make it amazing! I want to try Jillian’s dvd for sure. Maybe I’ll find it somewhere around here for cheap.
I love Jillian! And I LOVE Love Lockdown too! I first heard it on Ellen, she showed his music video. He can’t perform it live very well, though.
hahahah oh britney. so many people in blog world have said that britney makes them think of me, which i think is awesome. at least we’re real life friends!!
My sister has the 30-day Shred and she LOVES it! She said it really makes her work!
As far as small moments in time go…probably dancing around the living room with my kids to the Footloose soundtrack the other night! Hey, we’re snowed in…we entertain ourselves! teehee
