Best Hubs Award

I have a pretty awesome husband. Not only did he make dinner last night and got frozen yogurt to make my throat feel better, he also made breakfast this morning. I found the first picture on my camera, so apparently I’m supposed to share what we both ate. :)

Ross: whole wheat english muffin drizzled with maple syrup and stuffed with a 2 egg and tomato omelet. Served alongside a piece of vegan banana bread. :)

Lindsey: oatmeal with soymilk, water, and a pinch of brown sugar (probably a scant 1/2 teaspoon?). haha, there was a different (but good!) texture to this oatmeal. I guess Ross looked at the wrong amount of liquid to add, so he added double what he needed to, then had to add more oats later. It actually worked, because then there was a cool texture from the two “variations” of oats. :)

So, not only have I had the past two meals cooked for me AND had frozen yogurt, but he also brought home some of my most favorite flowers ever: TULIPS!

Now seriously, that right there is so much more than I could ever deserve. But no. There is more. (And this is for no reason! Not an anniversary, birthday, “I owe ya one” or anything gift! Just because.) :)

He “ran out to his truck” (really he drove down to the office to go pick up a package), and came back with a large box addressed to me. I open it up and find this box. Vera Bradley? This has to be good. :) (my hand is there to show the size of the box!)

Once I dug inside that box I found a sweet message inside:

And then….

A laptop carrying case in one of my favorite Vera patterns – Mediterranean blue!!!! (It now matches a purse I have, and my wallet!).

I suppose this gift wasn’t totally without reason. See, Ross knows my history with laptops. He knows that no matter how hard I try, crap always happens to my laptops. He also knows that whenever we go out of town anywhere I’m usually all, “hey honey…..I love you! Can I use your briefcase to put my laptop in?” lol. :) So now I have my very own laptop case. It’s even hard covered, which I think made him feel better about the longevity of my new laptop. ;)

I have the best, most generous, loving best friend/ husband I could ever dream of!

Now it’s time for me to stop being sick and get better so we can still go on a date night tonight! I hope you all have a fabulous Saturday!

Ahh, that is such a cute bag! I love Vera Bradley! I am now mourning the fact that I already HAVE a laptop bag. I can’t justify buying another unless mine breaks. Hmm…I should get on this…

    :)

yes, i'm reading back through all of your old posts…!!!!

we have ALOT in common – I LOVE scrapbooking! I'm hoping to create a scrapbook "closet" w/ a desk in it for me to work on my stuff once we close on our house. I prefer to have my stuff "out" so its easy to sit down and work, and I figure if I do it in a closet then I close the door to the mess and its out of sight from nosy guests too ;)

I also LOVE vera bradley though I dont have nearly the extensive collection you have ;) I have a big bag I use for carryons or short weekends, 2 purses (which my guy friend nic makes fun of me for claiming vera bradley is for old ladies), 2 make up bags :) love them! super cheap and adorable.

    so much in common!
