Cruise Recap: Tres (Cozumel, The End)

In case you missed it, check out Cruise Recap: Uno and Cruise Recap: Dos. :)

After our adventures in Grand Cayman we rose the next morning to witness a beautiful sunrise! I promise, there was very minimal editing done to these photos – what you see is what you get!

Now, to begin – we were a little overwhelmed from the Cozumel port when we first arrived. (Before I say anything else, let me just say I am not being discriminatory in any way!). However, all the shop owners and taxi drivers were absolutely incessant in their harassment to get you into their stores/ cabs. Just a note of what to expect if anyone is cruising to Cozumel anytime soon!

It was quite pretty though. :)

I don’t have any other pictures from Cozumel because most of the day was spent snorkeling, so those pictures are on our underwater camera. I’ll post pics when we get them back!

For now just imagine this: crystal clear waters, beautiful fish, a love of snorkeling, and a leisurely period afterward nestled in hammocks in the shade on the beach. Oh, and I must not forget the delicious caramel-filled churro the sweet Mexican man sold us. :) (So delicious and worth the $1 and sugary splurge!).

Once back, we headed to dinner (late!).

It was dancing night!! Here’s our waiter, Lenson (from India).

And our adorable, hilarious, uni-browed assistant waiter, Bahdir (from Turkey).

This Turk’s got moves. ;) [P.S. Apparently this is how they do the macarena in Turkey]. ;)

The night ended with a beautiful sunset! (Check this first photo – how cool is it! No editing – my lens started to fog when I took my camera out and snapped this picture. Love it!)

No, my hair is not in a fancy up-do. The wind just blew a few curls up. :)

We got a (lame) swan!

Now I have zero pictures of our last day during the actual day. Here is it:

sun. ocean. music. books. love. bliss. :)

Sidenote: I have now read Julie Powell’s “Julie & Julia” and Julia Child’s “My Life in France” – I loved “My Life in France” SO much more! It was that book that made me even more excited to see “Julie & Julia” (the movie) this Friday, and it was Julia Child’s memoir that left me culinarily inspired and desiring to push myself further in further in my personal pursuit of culinary arts!

I do have this special pic of the last evening! That wind was wicked!

Beautiful squash carving!

Tres cute. :)

My little spider-monkey! ;)

And that officially sums up the cruise. :) I do have two more parts I wanted to cover – a food recap and an overall thoughts recap (I’ll probably combine the both). :)

That post should be tomorrow, but I’m currently in Sarasota with the fam and plans are up in the air, so we’ll see. Just bare with me the next couple weeks! Two weeks from now I’ll be moved and hopefully mostly settled into a new routine!

xoxo loves. :)

What a great trip! I remember those crazy winds on the top deck. There were times where I felt like I would fly off the ship. ;)

So glad you had a fantastic time my dear. Cozumel is gorgeous! I think that was one of my favorite ports.

Hope you are having a great time in Sarasota. Talk to you soon hun!

Beautiful pictures, Lindsey! You are really rocking that new camera, I'm very impressed! Also, while I'm not a huge monkey fan (yes, this is werid I know-primates just give me the heebie-jeebies) I love the spider monkey towel art. Very clever! Glad you enjoyed your trip!
