Night Off

Hey friends,

I’m taking a night off from blogging. Got some bummer news this afternoon (didn’t get the job I wanted that I interviewed for on Monday – was beat out for the job by one. tiny. point.) and I just am feeling a tad disappointed. I know, I know, better things will come, it’s all in God’s hands, where one door closes another door opens…I know. And that’s why I’ve already been looking for other opportunities since I got the phone call (and what I’ll be doing the rest of the night, in addition to some R+R with my favortie R(oss)). Thanks in advance for all of your love and understanding though, y’all are the best. :) I’ll be back chipper as ever tomorrow morning. :)

In the meantime, you can count on a review of the Black Box Wines tomorrow. Perfect time to try it. Oh look – it just hit 5:00. Time to go find my wine glass. ;)

So sorry about the job. I totally feel for what you're going through. We're both making big changes in our lives and that is tough! I've definitely been pretty emotional about it all the last few weeks. Enjoy your time with Ross. Life will go on!

"We learn wisdom from failure much more than success. We often discover what we will do, by finding out what we will not do."

You are amazing Lindsey! Never forget that! :)

Lindsey, I'm really sorry. I've been out of town so I haven't been reading, but I was sad to come back to this news just because YOU'RE sad. I know there is a perfect job out there for you! I struggled to find a job when we moved here, and even started one at a law office where people yelled at one another. After my first day I had a panic attack thinking of going back, so I followed my gut and quit even though it was really scary and D didn't think it was a good idea. I told my Bible study about it and within 24 hours I had 5 job offers from them and/or their spouses. I wound up nannying, which has been the best job for me because of its flexibility and also because it is fun and gives me a nice break from schoolwork and a way to minister to families. I know you'll find the right thing. God has given you a lot of talents and He won't just leave you hanging! Just remember that you don't need to have a job immediately, even if you feel like that. The budget will work out and you will find something that works. I just said a prayer for you :)
