We had an all out Battle of the Sexes in the kitchen tonight!!!
It was war. Sandwich war. 
Earlier this afternoon I was describing my ideas for a sandwich to enter into Mezzetta’s Make That Sandwich Contest (you can win $25,000 and a trip to Napa! That would definitely ease my urgency and need to find a job so soon!), 
Well, Ross being the competitive, creative man he is, decided he was going to enter a sandwich too!

Obviously we can’t divulge any secrets about our sandwich skills since they’re for a contest, but I will tell you my sandwich was for the Vegetarian category and Ross’ for the Hot Sandwich category. I’ll also tell you that my sandwich was crazy filling and I just nibbled at that second half!
I’m actually thinking of trying my hand at one more sandwich tomorrow for lunch – you can enter multiple times, and I have one more idea (plus I have a little more cheese to use up before Tuesday!).

I do come to Gainesville often! Dan is my boyfriend. He's getting his PhD at UF and I'm getting my MS at FIU, so for the past year and 8 months we've been doing the LDR thing. I drive up one weekend a month and he drives down one weekend a month (so we see each other every other week). I will definitely let you know next time I'm up. Hope you have a good trip this weekend!
