Fruit and Veg Bread

Good morning friends. :) Thank you to everyone who commented on my post last night. I was indeed frustrated and a little sad, but I appreciate everyone’s feedback. As always, it means the world. While opinions do differ, I think the general consensus is that everyone can run, but that doesn’t mean everyone should. If you have any more to add, feel free to keep adding to the discussion!

Now for a little background on where I was coming from. I’ve been trying to get back into running again for a little while. I want to, but I’ve been feeling like I’m encountering a lot of roadblocks that kind of make me want to throw my hands up and go “arghhh!”. :) Over the summer it was something with my foot where it got to the point where I couldn’t put weight on it, then my misaligned kneecap started hurting horribly, then my asthma has been a lot more severe in the past month, and finally now my shins have been experiencing a lot of pain. And I have been going slow – up until yesterday I’ve just been at run a minute/ walk a minute, in order to try to get all of my body on the same page. I’ve also been doing other types of cardio as cross-training, in order to not over-do it. I do want to run though, and there’s even a certain longer-distance race I’d love to participate in in 6 months. I’m just going to have to keep taking it one day at a time to see if it’s feasible.

I did have a couple inquiries as to the “hot topic” I was referring to. I’m thinking about writing more on it later, because in my opinion it is part of a healthy lifestyle and it’s definitely something not many people talk about. The hot topic? Birth Control.

One final “housekeeping” note: the new blog is still coming!! Everything is waiting, and I’m so anxious to start blogging over there from my own domain and new site. I have an awesome friend who has offered to help with design, and is currently working on some stuff for me. She went to school for illustration and design, so I’m pretty sure it’s going to be awesome! So excited. :)
Ok, whew! That was a little much for the morning!

Breakfast!

I was running out of options (thus why I’ve been turning to cereal day after day) so yesterday I took my running frustrations out in the kitchen. :) I baked an awesome Fruit and Veg Bread! I think the recipe still needs a little work, so I won’t post it yet (although let me know if you want to be a recipe tester, and I’ll give you the modified recipe that I think will work, although I haven’t tested it yet).

I will tell you this though – there are three kinds of fruits and three kinds of vegetables in here (although I’m pretty sure this recipe would be interchangeable with other kinds of fruits and veggies). It’s also vegan and the reason it looks so doughy in the below picture is because I need to add more flour to counteract all the moisture in the fruits and veggies.

Breakfast was the above two slices and the below tiny apple with AB.

Alright, this post is long enough! I’ll see you later. :)

I have a lot to say about Birth Control if you need a sounding off board. Bottom line is I hate it, but since I run so much I need it to get my stupid period. ughh… I've wanted to write something about it on my blog for a while, but have been to scared. Kudos for you if you dive into the topic.

I would be really interested to hear your take on birth control.. Running is a process that takes time.. some weeks I can pound out 3 miles a day the next week I struggle with a mile.. I think sometimes seeing what some of these girls in the blog world can do (as far as running) can also be frustrating..

I love really doughy breads, yum!

Sorry about your frustrations, I completely understand. It's so hard when our bodies won't do what our hearts want them to!
