Hey friends! Is it just me or has today been a sleepy day? It’s been pretty rainy and cloudy skies over here in Gator-land (haha they crushed my sister’s school today, totally predictable) so Ross and I have been keepin’ it pretty lazy. 
Lunch was some of Amy’s Roasted Veggie No Cheese pizza. Yum, favorite! Of course, we kept with the lazy theme by breaking out the fine china…
Dinner was ultra gourmet – lentil soup (from a can lol), half a pear and some homemade spelt biscuits I threw together that were actually pretty good!
For the spelt biscuits: Cut 1/4 cup Earth Balance (or other vegan spread) into 1 cup spelt flour, a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of baking powder. Mix in about a 1/4 cup milk substitute (I used light vanilla soymilk) until everything is just moistened. Roll out the dough. It makes around 12 tiny little biscuits. 
The only foodie highlight of today is that we tried the ever-so-popular health freak lover’s Kombucha.
Kombucha is supposed to have all these crazy awesome health benefits, but I’ve been hearing all sorts of horror stories of how it tastes. I found a Guava Goodness on sale, so Ross and I picked it up. haha, I warned Ross not to chug it!!! But in typical guy fashion…he chugged his first “sip”. Freaking hilarious.
I will say this – it’s not terrible. The vinegar that you hear people talk about is (for me) the smell – it smells straight up like vinegar. The taste is interesting. It’s an acidic taste….but not bad. I’d recommend trying it, because hey, why not? The price alone will keep me from buying these regularly, but I may be up for trying other flavors. We’ll see.

The smell of vinegar makes me gag, I wonder if I could handle the taste. I've been interested in trying it, I don't see too many people drinking it. uhmmm…

Kombucha is amazing but not good for my wallet. The first time I tried it the vinegar smell was a bit overwhelming but I got over that after I finished my first one and from then on.. I was hooked.

Homemade Kombucha taste alot different than GT's brand. Other brands taste different also.
