I. Hate. Creepy. Crawly. Nasty. Bugs.
Especially when they are in my kitchen.
My morning started out innocently enough (minus the fact of being dead tired because I was up late playing teacher and helping Ross grade papers…I got a LOT more sleep than he did though!). 
I wandered into the kitchen and decided it’d be the perfect morning to enjoy my Kashi cereal sample I picked up in the mail yesterday: Oat Flakes and Wild Blueberry Clusters.
Well, after a couple bites I go back into the kitchen for a water refill. I set my my mug down on the counter, go by the fridge, get water, etc.. Turn around and there is this roach-like bug crawling around the base of my mug! I may or may not have let out a little expletive (HATE bugs, especially in my kitchen around my FOOD!). As I ran for paper towels to kill the sucker (I’m merciless) he crawls into my clean dishwasher! I just washed those dishes! Well, I opened it and couldn’t see him. So I quickly throw some more dishwasher soap in there, lock him in, put it on HOT (usually I don’t have the heated dry on to conserve energy) and am currently running the dishwasher in attempts of killing him by drowning, steaming, over-heating, WHATEVER WORKS!
I hate bugs. Can you tell?
What makes matters worse is just the other night Ross killed a similar looking bug in our closet. I knew there’d be more than one. Time for Operation Roach Kill.
Needless to say I couldn’t finish my cereal, so I’ve now substitute a slice of my almond spiced banana bread.
What do you think? Will Death by Dishwasher kill this nasty little sucker? :/
P.S. Hahahaha, I think this makes me a bad vegan hippie. I’m sorry, but he was on my FOOD!

Ah, I am not one for bugs either! They are creepy!
I dislike bugs as well but I don't have the heart to kill them, so when I come across one I drop everything and run in the opposite direction!

Oh yuck! Bugs in the kitchen is the WORST!! I'd kill the sucker, too! Bugs do not stand a chance in this house.
Haha…It's funny talking about killing bugs in vegan month! lol…I HATE bugs…and birds, they are so dirty!

LOL. In our old condo we had a little roach infestation for a few weeks (I know that sounds disgusting and I can't believe I just admitted it.)
They were in our kitchen and we could not find where they were coming from but they LOVED to scamper into our dishwasher (I would do the same thing you did! LOL)
We ended up finding out that they were living in the back of our coffee maker. How disgusting is that? LUCKILY we hadn't been making coffee but still…. so gross. We threw it out instantly and then no more roaches. Ugh, I still shudder when I think about it. I HATE roaches more than any other bug.
I hate bugs too! I have never seen a roach though, thank goodness. I would probably scream. I hear they're big and scary.
Ahhh I hate them too! I have been finding creepy little tomoato worms all over my kitchen. I beleive its due to a rotten tomaoto I threw out a few days ago. Soooooo Gross!!!
I hope that little nasty finds its way out of your dishwasher and back into its natural environment!

Awww, bummer on the bugs. I've lost flour and other dry goods to wheevles before and it's a bummer.
You are too sweet helping Ross grade papers, I conned my mom into helping me the other night. That's the one think I don't like about teaching is grading papers!
