Home Sweet Home

Hi from good ol’ Gainesville! This weekend absolutely flew by, but it was such a good weekend. :) Our afternoon errands were mostly a success, except when Ross drove right past the Whole Foods exit. hehe, he was thrilled…

He had a perfectly good excuse – we were having so many great conversations today! I love having deep, stimulating, thought-provoking conversations that make you dig deep in your mind and heart and make you think. Love it!

We weren’t too hungry for lunch, so we just split this whole grain avocado cucumber sushi roll from Whole Foods.

I also grabbed a Sublime Mate Honest Tea. Not bad!

And of course, when it Rome, right? The essential WF Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie.

Now, I don’t know if these were overcooked this time, or if they’d been out a while or what, but the first thing I said when I tasted this? “Wow, mine taste a lot better!” (In the most humble way possible LOL). Maybe I will be sharing that recipe with y’all sooner than I thought… :)

We’ve already done our weekly grocery shopping, so we’re done with errands for today! Since we got back around dinner time we thought we’d put one of our grocery purchases to good use. I had some lentil soup with some quick whole wheat “biscuits” that I threw together on the side. (Those things are so flat and tiny, I’m pretty sure 3 = a little less than a normal biscuit).

Now, the rest of that Whole Foods cookie is tucked away in my belly and I’m chilling. :) Ross and I are trying a “No Sweets” week, just to make sure that we’re in control of cravings. It can only be good for us, yes? I believe Whit is also on the No Sweets page this week, too. :) (This is why I killed off the rest of the cookie tonight – no temptation! haha)

My apologies to those of you who have emailed, FBed, texted, or commented me lately – I’m trying to get caught up!

See you in the morning!

I almost always think homemade cookies are better :) That sushi sounds yum, I will have to look for it next time I am there!

I don't do many sweets myself, I have pretty much limited it to one night a week and it usually isn't anything too crazy anyway. It feels good to be in control.

Glad you got your WFs!! Call me crazy but sometimes the slightly burnt cookies are my favorite – although I'm sure yours is much better :)
