For the rest of you, no worries, I’m planning more giveaways in the future so you can try your luck at those.
It’s been a busy morning with lots of errands! Before we headed out I whipped up a super fast breakfast. Remember yesterday morning’s breakfast sushi? Maggie had the great idea that it’d be great grilled. So this morning I wrapped up almond butter and half a pear (burrito-style) and popped it on the stove. Crispy, warm and oh-so-delicious. Great idea, Maggie! I also enjoyed it with the last of my Good Belly probiotic fruit drink.

We spent more on groceries today than we usually do, but we stocked up on a LOT of things that were on sale (canned beans, milk substitutes, cheap vegan chocolate chips, lots of fruit, and more!). And look what I finally found:

Pardon my awkward self-photo, but I finally found canned pumpkin! I’ve been searching for it for ages, and finally found some today at Super Walmart. Score! And yes, I bought two of the largest cans.
For a snack/ lunch I had a mini whole wheat pita with hummus, spinach and black olives. Definitely on the light side, but I’ll probably snack on other fruits and veggies throughout the afternoon.

Unfortunately the rest of our fun day doesn’t look like it’s going to pan out. Ross has been feeling a little off all day, and when we got home he literally just passed out. Ross passing out in the middle of the day on the bed? Not the norm. He’s running a small temp, he’s achy, headachy, no appetite. Poor honey. So it looks like instead of exploring parks, I’ll be cleaning and playing nurse.
Off to go take a vitamin and some OJ for myself. Must ward off the germs! Ciao!

Congratulations to Sarah!!
Haha love the photo of you with the Libby’s can
P.S. – I hope that Ross feels 100% better soon!!

Almond butter and pear grilled. Sounds perfect! I think I need to do something similar involving a peach.
That’s the same face I made when I FINALLY found pumpkin, too! I stocked up and kept buying a big can every time I found it afterward, and now of course I’m finding it everywhere! PS – Thanks for commenting on my blog!
