With the beautiful fall air making it impossible to do anything besides be outside, Ross and I decided to head over to Devil’s Millhopper Geological State Park which is maybe a quarter-mile from our apartment. With the fun of a “geological state park” and the promise of nature trails, sinkholes to explore and more, we were way excited (we’re kinda sorta nature freaks).

Unfortunately we found the trail and entire state park rather limited and uninspiring. We love exploring, making our own paths and more. To explore the sinkhole you simply just descend the steps and then walk back up. Accessible for more people, but not nearly as exciting as we anticipated.

I do love this picture of some fall-hued leaves and water sprinkling into a small pool though.

And this fun one. As much as spiders give me the heeby-jeebys, I do love spider webs. So delicate, intricate and lovely.

After our trip to the sinkhole and walk around the 0.9 mile nature trail, we hit up the grocery store on the way back for some fresh produce for the next week. After snacking on someĀ fall fresh grapes I threw together a quick lunch for us of spinach topped with plain leftover quinoa and leftover vegetarian baked beans. I love how it tasted when it all got mixed up together!

Let’s see where the rest of the afternoon takes us! (Besides the UF side of town because I do NOT want to be over by the homecoming game craziness! No thank you!).

That place looks beautiful
I feel the same way about spider webs as you. Scared of the critters but their webs are amazing!!
You got some pretty pictures out of your visit to the park!
Sorry the park turned out to not be the best.. but you did get great pics!
Too bad the park wasn’t awesome. I love the pics, though!
