Today’s beautiful day just kept right on going! I somehow managed to pass out this afternoon for a beautiful nap (although the hair wasn’t so beautiful when I woke up, but no one was around to see
). Then tonight I went on a beautiful jog! I actually started out by heading to the gym, intending to do some hill walking on the treadmill. However once I stepped outside I decided I couldn’t waste the weather, and I would just do some jog and walk intervals outside. Well, once I started jogging I decided I felt great and didn’t want to stop! I jogged (very slowly, but who really cares?) 20 minutes straight, which was the longest I’ve gone in months. It felt so good to finally know I am getting back into the swing of running! I love how quickly I notice my body changing and getting stronger when I run.
Total Workout Stats:
- jog 20 minutes
- walk 15 minutes
- planks (3×45 seconds)
- crunches with 10 lb weight (100)
- reverse crunches (50)
- push ups (50)
Short and sweet.
Dinner was a feast of veggies! My dear, sweet, normally health-conscious husband informed me that he had three slices of a “white pizza with cut up fried chicken tenders on top” for lunch. I’ll refrain from voicing my thoughts about said pizza, but just know I felt obligated to combine nearly every vegetable in sight in a stir fry.

Mushrooms, zucchini, broccoli slaw, kabocha squash, avocado, tomato, black olives and arugula all in a small drizzle of olive oil, white wine and soy ginger sauce from Whole Foods. Served with a toasty whole wheat tortilla.

As I’m sure many of you know, the “Good Mood Gig – Vote for Me!” craze is currently sweeping our little blogging community. Yesterday I was feeling frustrated and a little discouraged, because I know that our community can have such a strong voice if we’re united, however it seemed like each individual blogger was out for themselves. This morning I had the brilliant idea that we should all support each other and help each other get to the Top 20!
The beautiful thing that can help all of us get to the Top 20 is that everyone can vote once per day per entry. So we don’t have to fight against each other for votes! If we each combine our networks, we can have one huge network giving all of us a greater chance of getting into and staying in the top 20!
So that said, we all need your help! Each of us who is in the running for the Good Mood Gig feel that the little ways we each love our selves and live healthy lives help us maintain our good moods daily. I’m sure all of you, the family, friends and readers of our blogs would all agree that we want to see someone passionate about living a healthy lifestyle as the Good Mood Blogger. So if you all would be so kind, please vote for each of us every day until October 30th!
(And if you’re frequenting your university’s library, computer lab, or a public library, feel free to vote for each of us on those computers, too.
)
Help us get into the Top 20 for the SAM-e Good Mood Gig! Vote for each of us once a day until October 30th by clicking on each of our names below! With your help we can all make and stay in the top 20!
- Me (www.soundeats.com)
- Meghann (www.graduatemeghann.com)
- Sarah (www.muchfruit.wordpress.com)
- Ashley (www.dailygoods.wordpress.com)
- Monica (www.runeatrepeat.com)
- Amanda (www.runtothefinish.blogspot.com)
Thanks for voting and helping each of us get to the top 20! I’ll end this on a cheesy note: “All for one and one for all!”

GREAT idea! You’re so sweet to think of others. Voting more now!
