Four.

Happy Friday! What better way to kick off a glorious fall Friday morning than with a fall flavored breakfast panino?

Such a fast meal to throw together. I combined a whole grain baguette with the last of my husband’s peanut butter (officially out of nut butters in the house!), half a pear, pumpkin puree, a drizzle of maple syrup and lots of cinnamon.

While I was putting the sandwich together I got a skillet nice and hot. Plop the sandwich down and place something heavy on top (like a large sauce pan with something else heavy inside). Flip, repeat, voila!

Who says putting together a tasty, nutritious and unique breakfast has to be time consuming? Not me!

Last night I alluded to the fact that today is rather special for Ross and I. It’s not our wedding anniversay (07.26.08) and it’s not the anniversary of our proposal (07.07.07). It is, however, the four year anniversary of when we first realized we would one day be married. We call it our “dating anniversary” but the actual time period of when we first started hanging out/ becoming interested/ dating is all kind of a blur, so we chose today to celebrate. Four years ago today (tonight, specifically) I was hanging out with Ross’ family at their house while Hurricane Wilma rolled through central Florida. Later that night Ross and I were talking and started praying about our relationship, our lives, direction, etc., and I remember by the end of the night I had felt God putting a huge impression on my heart that I would one day marry this man.

Needless to say I freaked the heck out of course, and tried to ignore God and my feelings, but we can all see how that turned out. ;) I am so thankful and so blessed to have met Ross, a man who when I first met him I knew he surpassed everything I had always desired in a man and offered so much more, not only to me but to the world. A man who would be the one man I would experience the joys of going from courtship to engagement to marriage with. The man who has been and will always be by my side through thick and thin, through this giant roller coaster of life. Ross supports me more than I ever thought possible. I love how we can just truly “be” with each other. :)

Enough sappiness! One last thing though…I do have to say I am overwhelmed by the support from Ross and the rest of my family and a few close friends in my pursuit of the Good Mood Gig. While I know that this is a dream job for me, and that I desperately need a job and an income, I know that this is a gig that many of you would also deem a dream job.

I still firmly believe that we as a blogging community can all unite and bring all of us into and stay in the top 20! The way I see it, the voting is not a competition between individual friends and bloggers. The voting is a way that we can unite and use our friendships and connections for the benefit of all of us.  The true competition begins after October 30th when the top 20 compete for the job.

So please don’t forget to vote for all of us! Every single one of your votes helps! (And if you have a phone with an internet plan, you can vote on your phone in addition to your computers…just sayin’ ;) ).

Help us get into the Top 20 for the SAM-e Good Mood Gig! Vote for each of us once a day until October 30th by clicking on each of our names below! With your help we can all make and stay in the top 20! THANK YOU!
