Happy Friday afternoon, friends! Since I know I’m probably going to be busy later this afternoon and tonight I decided to get my workout in earlier in the day.
- 30 minutes of jogging (about 5 minutes of walking thrown in there…I was not properly hydrated for outdoor exercise at noon in Florida!)
- Shoulder Press (20 lbs, 3 sets 10 reps)
- Biceps (25 lbs, 3 sets 10 reps)
- Tricep Press (60 lbs, 3 sets 10 reps)
- Chest Press (50 lbs, 3 sets 15 reps)
- Butterfly (25 lbs, 3 sets 10 reps)
- 10 minutes Stair Master
I still have a couple more ab, leg and back/ shoulder exercises to do, but they’re with free weights/ pilates ball (which I have at home, not at the apartment gym), so I’ll do them as soon as I hit publish.
Plus by this point I was starving and seeing bright dots everywhere, I listened to my body and broke for lunch. I really need to go grocery shopping!!
SIAB!

Smoothie in a Bowl Contained:
- vanilla rice milk
- frozen mango
- half a pear leftover from breakfast (made it too sweet, yech)
- brown rice protein powder
- half a bag of spinach
- almonds (throw it into the blender with the smoothie…I love it!)
- well done granola on top

I was quite hungry and it was possibly the fastest I’ve ever consumed a smoothie/ SIAB.

As some of you may know, Megan is an engineering student and has to take this huge Fundamentals of Engineering Exam tomorrow. Megan and I were randomly paired as roommates our freshman year at UCF, so I know first hand just how long and how hard she has been working towards her upcoming graduation and this FE Exam! She has literally been non-stop studying all this week and I know she has been pretty stressed out about the FE exam.
I was going to suggest to Megan that she compile a list of positive quotes, thoughts and more for her to print off and take with her. That way before she goes in for the FE she can review all the positvity and get the good vibes going before her test! But then I realized – Megan has no time to compile a list like this! This is where we come in! If you would like to send me any quotes that have encouraged you, any messages for Megan (and how she’s going to kick the FE’s butt!), anything positive — send it my way! Leave it in the comments below or send it to me in an email to lindsey@soundeats.com. I’ll compile a list of everything and send it to Megan tonight so she can feel all the positivity and know how much we’re all behind her!
I’m kind of thinking of it as one big, cyber “thinking of you/ good luck” card.
If you know anyone else who would like to contribute to the positivity card for Megan, forward this on to them via blogs, internet, or twitter.
Also, furthering the spirit of blogger unity don’t forget to vote for me and the rest of the girls below to help us all get into and stay in the Top 20 for the Good Mood Gig!
Help us get into the Top 20 for the SAM-e Good Mood Gig! Vote for each of us once a day until October 30th by clicking on each of our names below! With your help we can all make and stay in the top 20! THANK YOU!

Aw, we all love Megan! What a great idea.
Megan, you are going to kick that tests butt, just like you did those 15 miles this morning.
Good luck!
Aw, good luck to her!
Good luck to Megan! I don’t know her other than her blog but it is apparent that she can do anything she puts her mind to and she’s going to do great tomorrow
This is the sweetest idea ever!
Megan,
Good luck on the FE exam! I know you’ll rock it. You’ve been putting so much time and energy into getting ready for it. Think positive and be proud of what you can do. You’re proud of your body for running 15 miles; today is the day to be proud of your mind for doing so well on the FE exam!
Good luck!!!
Julie

It’s fun reading about your accomplishments, in and out of the gym. I bet your stomach growled a few times in the FE exam. 8 hours. Whew! How did you prepare for that exam? Did you use the FE Review Manual from PPI (Professional Publications), take a course, or just wing it on your own? And, how was the exam?
[...] the gym. Well last week I took it outside. I jogged twenty minutes straight. Then a few days later I jogged for 30 minutes, walking about 5 minutes in that time. Then tonight I headed out in the drizzly rain and went for a [...]
