Big Foot Gets Things Done

Hello again! Today’s “lunch” post comes at you a bit earlier today. I’m trying to figure out a new routine with my new work schedule, so bear with me. My orientation starts at noon today, so I’ve been on a roll of productivity all morning! I did have one minor setback. Apparently my sneakers are sitting next to the forgotten Whole Foods bag in Orlando. Grrreat. And apparently I threw my really old sneakers away after I spilled black wood stain all over them late summer. Double great. Refusing to sacrifice a workout, I took a ratty old pair of Ross’ sneakers and used cotton balls to add support and make the shoe fit me. It worked in a pinch for low impact exercise! Although I have to say that when I was walking around Publix before the gym I felt like big foot.

Work out:

  • 20 minutes Stair Master (intervals, level 3)
  • 30 minutes Elliptical (forward/ backward intervals, level 5)
  • reverse crunches, 25
  • lateral pull down (50 lbs, 3×10)
  • upright row (50 lbs, 3×10)
  • butterfly (30 lbs, 3×10)
  • chest press (60 lbs, 3×10)
  • tricep press (60 lbs, 3×10)
  • shoulder press (30 lbs, 2×10)
  • arm/ bicep curl (35 lbs, 3×10)

After I gym I showered, chugged water, got dinner thrown together in the crock pot and made lunch. I love being productive!!

Lunch was a smoothie in a bowl: spinach, light vanilla soymilk, 1/2 cup frozen mango, 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, ice, scoop of chocolate brown rice protein powder, and a GoodBelly Mango shot.

I added some of this Bear Naked Triple Berry Crunch granola on top. I used to love this stuff, and I found some on sale plus had a $1.00 off coupon, so I picked some up this week. So fun, and perfect since I’m on a “burn homemade granola” streak.

I have no idea when I will be getting off today – I don’t know if today’s orientation will be a real/ normal Monday schedule or what. In case it is and I won’t be off until 8:00, my purse is stocked with a clif bar, apple and a water bottle.

I’ll see you all much later! If you get bored this afternoon, please check out this video I saw on Kristen’s latest post – AMAZING story of how 28 days on a vegan diet changed the health of a meat loving cowboy. Crazy results for 28 days.

On that note, I’m off to blow dry my hair and go to WORK! Wheee! :)

Great video clip! I was shocked when he said that he had an eating disorder. It takes a lot to admit that but it is true. Eating an unhealthy diet for years is not ok. Glad to see that he is healthier now :)
