Good morning! Apparently my creativity and desire for originality went into hibernation this morning, so breakfast was the oldest, most boring breakfast in the book (for vegans and non-vegans alike). Cereal (Quaker Oatmeal Squares) and Milk (or soymilk in my case).

I also have some coffee in my french press at the moment that I plan on using to make a “chocolate latte” with chocolate soymilk.
Now it’s confession time here at SE! I have two random confessions for you this morning.
1. I can be a very particular person. If plans change last minute or I’m forced to go along with plans that I don’t want to do, I get very, very cranky. Like tonight – my sister-in-law is coming to visit, and I’m SO glad I get to see her again because we’re the same age and really close, but she’s coming in past my bedtime and I don’t know if I have to work tomorrow. So I’m kind of selfishly cranky that even though she’ll be here I may not get to see her that much. Plus I’m neurotic and don’t like anyone to see our place for the first time without scrubbing and cleaning everything again right beforehand…which means sneaker shopping may not happen today.
2. I’m on the anti-bandwagon bandwagon. Always have been, always will be. I don’t like trends. I wear whatever clothes I like and feel cute in, despite whatever is currently “trendy”. I have never tried any Amazing Grass products because I got sick of all the hype about them in the blog world and I didn’t want to jump on board. And I’m really glad I’ve had my DSLR for a few months, because even though I had wanted one for years, I would probably be ticked if I had gotten one now and it made me look like I was part of a trend. My anti-bandwagon bandwagon is that bad. (Disclaimer: This is directed at no one! It just seems like EVERYONE has tried Amazing Grass and EVERYONE has gotten or is planning on getting a DSLR).
So spill – what are some of your confessions?
P.S. Don’t forget to head over to Katy’s blog for the last day to enter her Chobani giveaway!

You struck a cord with me on number one. I am totally the same way.
If I get out of my routine, or if plans come up last minute it can totally throw me off and put me in a bad mood. Although, I always end up having fun with whatever came up. I need to get over this!
ditto. Are we the same person?
I’m a major perfectionist/type A.
I have to clean my house from top to bottom before anyone comes over, even if it’s already spotless. A little or a lot OCD, I know. And you’re not alone with never trying Amazing Grass!
I totally hear your anti-bandwagoner feelings, when everyone and their mother is jumping on the same trend it turns me off, at least initially… I was like that with iPods and uggs (I still don’t own uggs and my first ipod was a gift).
Hopefully you can fit in some sneaker shopping along with your tidying
PS – Have you ever refered to sneakers as runners? My american friends had no idea what I was talking about when I did, maybe it’s a Canadian thing?!
haha SAME with the iPods and uggs…never owned uggs (don’t even think they’re that cute) and my iPod was a gift and my shuffle I won in a raffle.
Confession time for me. I am very anti-bandwagon most of the time. BUT I WANT A DSLR sooooo bad after seeing everyone play with theirs at the foodbuzz festival. The desire won’t go away! haha
The second one hit home for me! I extend it to include things like (no offense) but I refuse to get into Twilight because it’s all I hear about! Ha ha.
p.s. I hated Amazing Grass
no offense taken.
I actually refused to get into twilight for the longest time, then I randomly visited my mom and she had rented the movie and I watched it with her and I was absolutely hooked.
So with you on being particular. The littlest things can put me in a funk. Case in point: I’d intended on brewing chocolate coffee this morning, but woke up to a fresh pot of unflavored. Instead of being appreciative, I got cranky. SILLY.
I’m totally anti-bandwagon too. A few years ago everyone I knew all of a sudden started liking country music. I refuse to listen to it. I’ve tried amazing grass out of curiosity and unlike everyone else whose had it I think it’s nasty.
im gonna get in trouble for this one but i could care less if my food is organic or not and most of the time i never wash my fruit before eating it. yeah, yeah i know its bad but i have bigger things to worry about… like what is crazy Lindsey Lohan up to today?
I don’t wash my fruit either. It’s never gotten me sick.
Yeah, I can’t afford organic everything. If I do organic it’s with the dirty dozen. And I’ve been known to just grab a piece of fruit without washing it (although actually I just read an article yesterday about how 20 people can touch your fruit before you get your hands on it, between farmers, harvesters, packers, store produce stockers, customers, etc). Makes me think I should always wash my produce..
I agree Lindsey, I hate all the bandwagon trends going on around the blog world! Amazing grass? Ugh! And the cameras?! How can everyone afford one of those?! And don’t forget, now everyone has a book deal too!
I have no idea how people can drop all the $$ on cameras just on a whim. Seriously? I had to wait years before I got one, and then it was a joint birthday gift from my parents and husband. Even though I WANT new lenses and stuff, I can’t just go out because I want it/ it’d be good for the blog/ whatever. I’m way too practical and financially responsible.
I couldn’t agree more. On both accounts; but mostly on the first one because I’m a neurotic control freak.
I’ll never be trendy and I’ll never have all the toys like everyone else, either.
Glad to know I’m not the only one.
I am just like you, I never jump in the bandwagon. I lose interest when everybody else is interested.
Haha! I have no need for an SLR now but when I have children, that is the first thing I am getting! I never tried Amazing Grass but if their competitor is AM Organics then I have tried that
hehe I am totally the same with planning, but i love tha tyou actually admitted it!!!
Haha I can totally relate to those things. I’ve tried Amazing Grass but I think it’s nasty! And I have had my SLR since sophomore year in college (so about 4 years ago?) and I still don’t even know how to use it properly!
I HATE last minute plans. .. I too, get super cranky.
Way to be honest, Linds! I think it’s important to be what you want to be, because you WANT to, not because others are doing it. Hope you get in some good time with your Sis in Law!
You have nothing to be ashamed of because I assure you sooooo many others are just as particular and neurotic as you claim to be. Ummm, like ME! I am the most particular person when it comes to planning and logical scheduling. I get sooo stressed and irritated when something changes or does not fall into the way I want it to be placed in my life. I need to work on this. I actually just posted on serveral ways to embrance change and one of them is “Learn to live with uncertaintiy.” So much easier said than done, but a worthy goal to work at.
You’ll have an amazing time with your SIL even if it is shorter than you hoped.
totally with you on the last minute changes making you cranky…i think i’m your twin.
and i’m almost anti-bandwagon cause i did try amazing grass, but i refuse to read twilight, and to this day won’t read harry potter either. and skinny jeans? PLEASE…
If you’re my real twin you’ll read twilight.
JK but seriously – it’s worth it
Completely agree with #1 and #2! I definitely wish I was more flexible when it comes to last minutes changes. and trends..don’t even get me started
p.s – just found your blog and will now continue to follow!
