I have to be a strange one, because instead of being superstitious about Friday the Thirteenth, I’m oddly fascinated by it. It’s almost like the negative superstition associated with the day makes me that much more determined to be positive. Maybe it’s that whole anti-bandwagon bandwagon thing again.
Breakfast this morning was really quick and easy – I had a headache most of the morning, so I just grabbed something quick so I could take an Advil. Quaker squares with almond milk.
With lunch I felt the need to pile on some fruits and veggies, and the easiest way for me to do that is with a green smoothie. I pack more greens into smoothies that I can even eat in a salad! Another reason why I need a juicer – I think I’d do some major damage on my leafy greens, then! Today’s smoothie has spinach, brown rice protein powder, frozen mango, frozen blueberries, light vanilla soymilk, ice and some granola on top.
Delicious but COLD! I swear, I think my lips were blue at the end. Perfect reason to cuddle up in my big blue fleece blanket to get warm again! Now I’m off to go sort out my life and focus on individual projects instead of working on everything at the same time.
Two questions for ya:
1. Are you superstitious about Friday the thirteenth? [I’m not!]
2. What’s on your Christmas list? [I keep getting nagged to make a list, but so far I haven’t. I want an awesome blender – VitaMix or BlendTec –, a food processor if a blender is out, a cute jacket I saw at Target, giftcards, more running socks, etc. Obviously I’m asking what y’all are asking for because I need ideas! There’s always the throwback of more Vera.

I used to be superstitious but then I realized it was all in my head
I definitely want some new running shoes and gear for Christmas. But a new blender would be pretty awesome too!
1. Nope!
2. Money!! I’m taking a trip in January so I need all the cash I can get.
1. Not really
2. I want a Vita Mix too!
I am usually not superstituous but I am feeling super unlucky at the moment! ha. I like your idea of being positive today.
For christmas, all I want is a DSLR. I know I won’t get it but man do I want one!!!
I’m definitely not superstitious.
I already know I’m getting a car for Christmas/Grad/My next 30 birthdays. I’m feeling pretty lucky already, so not going to ask for anything more from anybody
My needs are running shoes, work clothes (bah!), a yoga mat, a foam roller, and Photoshop. My wants a Vitamix
immersion blender and some more kitchen stuff.
I think that Friday the 13 is actually lucky so I’m just backwards!
My birthday and my mom’s are on the 13th of a month. So i’ve never been superstitious about them cause…it could be my birthday!
I’m not superstitious at all. I have two black cats and have broken more mirrors than I can count.
Although the one time I tried to move a giant ladder inside my home (we were painting) I walked under it, grabbed the bottom and tried to move it from one wall to the other. It was more top-heavy and I grabbed it a little too low. It then fell onto my shoulders and a rung landed right on my windpipe. My husband was in the shower and I was nearly decapitated. Scary.
I’m not really superstitious

Christmas…hmhm. I want so much stuff
Clothes, jewelry, books, kitchen stuff ofcourse. I would looove some good blender for my green monsters
To be honest, I had no idea it was Friday the 13th until like 1:00 this afternoon haha! Obviously I don’t give into all of that
I’m definitely not supersititous about Friday the 13th – I didn’t even realize it until I started reading blogs this morning
For Christmas I want The Art of Simple Food! And maybe a crockpot. Kind of boring, huh?
Nope, not superstitious. Great food pics.
haha not supersticious!
on my christmas list..i said a new northface bookbag, ipod naner, good slippers, SHOPPING SPREE TO WHOLE FOODS!
Your smoothie looks so yummy with that granola! I’m not superstitious about Friday the 13th. Hmm, I’m probably gonna start getting nagged about a christmas list, too. I don’t want that much– maybe just some workout clothes and other little things. I mostly just can’t wait to get home and spend some time with the family
I’m not really superstitious. I had a flight on Friday the 13th in February and it didn’t crash, so that solidified for me that there’s nothing really bad about the day haha.
My mom is going Christmas shopping this weekend and she is mega-organized about it. My siblings’ and my lists had to be “submitted electronically by no later than Wednesday with specific details and pictures when able”. I asked for a Garmin for running!
YUM for Green Smoothies AND Green Juices (I like to call it “Plant Blood” for fun). I had one of each today.
Cheers,
Kristen
