Good morning and happy weekend! It is still rainy and cloudy in Florida, so I started my morning with one of the best ways I know how – pumpkin oats! So glad that they’re back in my life.
I also made Ross a batch of blueberry oats. He had a 1/2 cup oat serving with water and vanilla rice milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and frozen blueberries.
His was topped with a spoonful of this new (to us) almond butter we found yesterday (I also had a spoonful of it in my oats). Blue Diamond Almond Butter with Honey.
Quite delicious! It’s not the same as my raw almond butter, but it wasn’t $20 a jar (ridiculous!) and it’ll do for now.
Question for you all:
There are a ton of healthy living blogs out there – what would you think of a healthy living blog database? A site where bloggers could submit their name, blog name, blog tagline and their location(s) (optional). I feel like this could be a great way for bloggers to find other bloggers in their area for meet ups (I don’t know how many times I’ve gotten comments by a reader saying “I wish there were other bloggers who lived near me!” when I know there’s other bloggers in say, Pittsburgh). It’d also be a great place for everyone to find more blogs with similar interests that they could enjoy. Additionally it could be a good resource for readers and bloggers of other niches to find further inspiration and more information. So far the way I’ve thought about it is having every person submit a nominal fee (like $5 or $10) that will cover the site fees, the creation of the site, and site maintenance (adding new blogs, updating monthly to verify everyone is still blogging, etc.).
Would you be interested in a database like this, and be willing to pay the nominal fee to be a part of it?

I made my first stove top oats this morning (I’ve been a quick oats cheater :p) and they were of course pumpkin, yum yum
And I think your database idea is fantastic!
I thinks the database idea is phenomenal! I would definitely be into it. I’ve never had a blogger meet-up and would love a tool like that.
I think a database would be GENIUS!!!!
I think a database would be a great idea! It would also be great to get some sort of recipe database going, too. I know that would be much more complicated, but so helpful!
Also, I LOVE that almond butter. I’ve got a jar waiting for me in the pantry.
That is a great idea. I have been to running sites specifically for IL and have looked up runners near me
you are one of the smartest people ever. a database would be baller, just like those oats.
im glad you love that almond butter too bc its my fav! (besides barney butter of course)
What a fabulous idea!!
I would be 100% down for a healthy living database!
A database would be swell! I’m sure my followers are tired of me saying “any other SC bloggers out there??”
I think that is a great idea.
the database sounds interesting!!! i would pitch in for it!
I think that sounds lovely and I would definitely join in! I have randomly found two other bloggers in my area but I know there are others out there and it would be great to just have a database to refer to for several reasons. Great idea!

I think that would be awesome!!
Especially if you include us Canadians!! hehe
I love the database idea! And yes, I’d be willing to pay a nominal fee, as long as it really was nominal.
That would be a great idea!
And i had blackberry oats this morning!
That would be awesome, I was just thinking “I wish I knew bloggers in NYC to meet up with”. Nice!
I would love a database! Great idea.
Hey Linds,
Just catching up on what you’ve been up to lately….I think this sounds like a great idea, and it gives us new bloggers a chance to really get our names/faces, etc out there.
Excited to see where you can take this.
Oh and PS. If you want to do a Gville meet up, I’m down!
Database is a great idea, these will also give us an easy way to access important topics.
