Santa Jr.

I’m sure exhausted, but I will say one thing – Santa Clause sure got some assistance from me today! Just call me Santa Jr. Between driving back from Orlando this morning and around 7:00 tonight, we were only home about one hour! Most of it was Christmasy errands, but Ross and I did tease ourselves at one point by checking out all the dogs and cats (and two sweet kittens!) up for adoption at Pet Smart today. Oh Pet Smart, you break my heart. I hate seeing the animals in such small cages. Ross and I both really want to adopt a baby animal, but I just don’t think we’ll be able to for a while (if at all) for a variety of reasons (my allergies, financial, time, etc.). So we’ll just keep teasing ourselves and just loving on some baby animals when we see them out and about for now.

Dinner was the perfect comfort food for this cool night tonight – calzones! We just got some ingredients from Publix to quickly make our own. Mine had hummus, tomato sauce, zucchini, red pepper, mushrooms, garlic, black olives and basil.

This calzone was huge! I ate all the veggies on the inside and only half the dough. So good! We had elaborate plans of present wrapping and cookie baking tonight, but we’ve both entered veg-zone. We watched Four Christmases earlier (eh, just ok) and are watching Enchanted on USA now. I love that movie, I’m a sucker for anything princessy, still!

I can’t believe this week is Christmas!!!! So crazy. I’m so glad Ross is now off work – maybe when I get home from work tomorrow the laundry will magically be done? (here’s hoping he reads this post! love you honey!)
