It’s Christmas Eve! Christmas is tomorrow! So excited – Christmas is by FAR my favorite holiday, and I love it when all of my family is here together!
My morning started by sleeping in and then going for a jog with Ross. I know I live in Florida, but I live in northern Florida and Sarasota is more south. It’s definitely a lot warmer! Yesterday there was a ten degree difference between Sarasota and Gainesville! Fortunately there was a lovely breeze, which made the sunny high-seventies not seem too hot. We did about three miles of run 4 or 5 minutes, walk a minute. Later I also did a strength workout with my sister, Megan, in our “gym” (our lanai, which is kind of like a back porch).
Breakfast was a Blueberry Acai GoodBelly PLUS drink (gotta get those good bacteria!) along with some vegan banana bread. One with Trader Joe’s Cranberry Apple Butter and the other with TJ’s roasted creamy almond butter. So good! (Ross and I split this plate).
Lunch was a salad of romaine, black beans, corn and chili salsa, roasted red peppers and tomatoes. I also had an unpictured serving of reduced fat Ruffles potato chips – it’s been so long since I’ve had “real” potato chips!
Now I’m off to figure out what I’ll be eating on Christmas, visit the produce stand down the street and get ready for the rest of the Christmas Eve festivities!
What are your family’s traditions for Christmas and Christmas Eve? Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve or Day? Day all the way!

what a simple but warm meal to start the xmas day!
happy holiday!
Your salad looks delish, love all the colors
For Christmas Eve growing up we always got to open 1 gift – and it was always a pair of new PJs
The rest of gifts were opened on Christmas morning. This year we celebrated Christmas early and my husband and I will be having our 2nd annual movie day tomorrow and will see Sherlock Holmes!
Merry Christmas!
We have always opened gifts on christmas eve for as long as i can remember. My hubby and I still do the same thing even when we can’t visit the family at Christmas time
