Fact: I enjoyed soda and I do not regret it. I’ll never understand why it’s “ok” for some bloggers to down multiple beers or other alcoholic beverages in one night, but having one soda is looked down upon. Psh, I own it.
Fact: I love pizza and movie nights with my family, and I actually have come to prefer making my own pizza (even the crust dough from scratch) and don’t miss greasy cheesy pizza, because I truly know how awful I’d feel if I ate it.
Fact: I love this man more than life itself. I also love how much stronger, powerful, and more intimate our love and lives become when life stressors are removed.
Fact: Family dinners are a thing to be treasured, even if it is just leftovers.
Fact: I love post-holiday shopping. I got some great deals on clothing and I totally bought Christmas wrapping paper for next year. (I did this last year too, and it’s an awesome surprise when you get into the wrapping paper bin – “oh, where did this cute paper come from!?”)
Fact: Pumpkin oats are a great way to get yourself out of bed and back to work, especially when they’re his and hers style.
(Another fact: boys’ bowls > girls’ bowls)
Fact: While I’m anxious to play with my big Christmas gift (a VITAMIX!) I’m returning the original one (a Vitamix 4500) for an upgraded, longer warranty Vitamix 5200. I couldn’t resist when I found a great deal to “upgrade” at a small cost!
Fact: I totally slacked on working out (and blogging) the last three days during Christmas and family time. This morning’s strength workout and jog (if I have time!) should be fun!
Fact: While I love my job, I wish I didn’t have to work today. Long night ahead!
See you all later! What are some of your fun facts for a post-holiday Monday?

Merry Christmas linds!!! Looks like u made out pretty well
Love all your family and food pics!
Great idea on the upgrade!! I love finding a good deal!! I am at work too.. I love it but don’t want to be here!
I’ve become the same way about pizza, and besides, everything becomes a topping possibility when you make it at home!
I know how you feel about your first fact. I drink soda sometimes, too. Everything in moderation, right? I don’t really see a difference between drinking soda and alcohol… they both have empty calories and have absolutely no nutritional value.
Your cheese-free pizza looks delicious!
Happy Monday!
WORD on the soda thing. If my one vice is a single Diet Coke a day, I feel like I’m doing pretty okay in the grand scheme of things.
Fact #1: You are not the only one who skimped on workouts this week. Finals + Christmas = Workouts are scarce.
Fact #2: I am in love with my new food processor. I have made almond butter and hummus!
Fact #3: I can’t wait to have my kitchen back in two weeks. Healthier, more whole foods all around!
Fact: I concur family leftovers are glorious and truly special. I treasure every meal I get to have with my fam.
Fact: cooking with my mom is awesome.
Fact: I am truly a Florida native. My heart belongs and will end back up in Sarasota.
Fact: Most of my xmas gifts were kitchen related (and no I don’t think getting 3 whisks is repetitive)
Fact: I look forward to reading your posts everyday
I’m pretty jealous about that blender. Not gonna lie.
You have every right to enjoy things you love like soda and pizza. No shame girl, no shame!
Okay, this may be totally random and unrelated, but those paper plates are SOOOOO cute! LoL, never have I seen such nice paper plate. Mine are usually those ugly styrofoam things that are probably the worst for the environment and my decor. Haha
So happy that you enjoyed a wonderful Christmas darling girl.
First time replying, but I’ve been following (and enjoying!) your blog for a little while now.
I am so with you on Fact 1. I don’t drink alcohol but I do enjoy the occasional coke. And I am green with envy over your Vitamix!
Love this post!! I agree – 1 soda is not going to ruin your healthy lifestyle, I have been feeling so “un-blogger-ish” lately because we’ve been eating comfort/convenient foods instead of worrying about how it will look on the blog…but it tastes good and gets us through our days!! Love after Christmas shopping as well, can’t beat the deals!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this post, Lindsey! (and i totally undrestand about the soda thing
i am not regreting the few tastes of soda i had over christmas vacation! thanks for solidifying that fact.)
buying wrapping paper/cards after christmas is such agreat tradition. i am always much happier come december when i realize i already have what i need.
and congrats on the great deal for the vitamix upgrade! you go girl!
