You’ll find out the winner at the end, but don’t worry I’ll do a drive by blogging.
Lunch was easy leftovers when I get home – vegan lasagna tastes great warmed up! The flavors continued to develop nicely together.
Ross came home late (again! teachers work HARD!), but in his defense he thought it was Thursday, the night that I work late. He wanted to pick up some easy Moe’s burritos on his way home, but in an effort to use what we had and save some dinero I made fajitas again. To make the fajita veggies I use this A-Team of spices:
Kosher salt, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder and lemon juice. Fresh, real lemon juice is preferred but when real lemons are astronomically expensive, you can improvise.
Add it all (to taste) with a sliced bell pepper, onions and mushrooms and voila – fajita veggies!
Assembly bar ready to go: tortillas, salsa lentils, cheese (for Ross, obviously), avocado (for me!), black olives, romaine and salsa.
Ta da!
Looks remarkably similar to another dinner recently, eh?
Ok, ok, without further ado, I suppose I’ll tell ya the lucky recipient of my top secret vegan chocolate chip cookie recipe and baking accessories!!!
And the winner is….
Vicki! She said:
I’m Vicki. I’m 25 (26 next month) and I’ve been married to my AF pilot for going on 7 years. We have two girls, a preschooler and a kindergartner, and they are wild. I love to sing and dance– both only in the privacy of my home because I’m equally horrible at each. I’m still in school (and may be forever.)
Oh–and I LOVE chocolate chip cookies so having a great new recipe would be lovely.
Thanks!
Go check out Vicki’s blog, she’s adorable and the more I read her blog the more I feel she’s a kindred spirit!
Vicki, send me your contact info to lindsey @ soundeats.com, and I’ll get your package out to ya in a few days.
Have a great night everyone!

My gym actually had $5 coupon for people to take for Moe’s today. I have never been there before but there is tons of talk about the place. They had menu included with the coupon and everything looked really good.
Love your fajita bar!!
Yum, those vegan burritos look awesome! Love the idea of salsa lentils.
Wow! I am just so excited to try your top secret cookie recipe.
I came on here to comment that I tried the banana soft serve (yum!) and was ecstatic to see I won. Thanks Lindsey!!!
Wife had vegan chocolate brownies w/jalapenos during our recent downtown Las Vegas staycation. (Supposedly popular in Mexico.) She was v. impressed. Remember, there’s no Vegan like a Las Vegan!
