Bagel Friday!

T.G.I.F. Enough said. After yesterday’s admission, y’all should know why I’m excited for today. ;)

Breakfast involved some leftovers from work last night that I happily took home to put to good use – Publix Multigrain Bagels! These bagels are whole grain, HFCS-free and pack eleven grams of protein in one bagel. Not bad for a quick, easy and portable breakfast!

While my bagel was toasting I got my toppings lined up – Trader Joe’s Cranberry Apple Butter and Polaner Black Cherry Fruit Spread. There’s two halves of a bagel and life is full of more important decisions to make – so I went with two toppings. :)

Sidenote: I love the Polaner Fruit Spread! It’s just what it says – All Fruit! It’s sweetened only with fruit and fruit juice, and I highly appreciate that. :) (No, I was not paid to review their product, I’ve just been using Polaner for years and it’s my favorite fruit spread!)

Toasted, two-faced, grainy bagel:

Delicious! Gotta love some chewy carbs on a Friday morning. ;)

Off to study and clean all day! I have SO much studying and cleaning I want to accomplish, plus a workout – let’s hope I get it all done!

Friends who live/ have lived in Gainesville: what are some (free/ cheap) activities Ross and I can do this weekend? We have a free weekend and want to do something besides sit around the apartment. :)

If you don’t live in Gainesville, what is a crock pot recipe that you either want to try or is a favorite of yours? Feel free to leave it for me in the comments or on twitter! (And if it’s not vegan, I’m up for the challenge of veganizing it!)

Happy Friday, catch ya later!

You could try the butterfly museum on campus, Micanopy for antiques browsing (some of the stores have really neat stuff, and it’s pretty there), Cedar Key for funky art galleries and the old florida feel…

I love making tamale pie in the crockpot. I use beans, ground turkey, bell peppers, corn and a box of cornbread mix to make it. It’s really good and I bet it’s pretty easy to veganize.

    That bagel looks delish!

I tried that Black Cherry Spread over the holidays. SO good!
