Grandma, this post is for you! All of these prayers and will wishes are just a part of the good thoughts Pap’s been getting. I’ll be printing and mailing a copy of all of these to you, too.
Note to those who have been praying: my grandfather is showing signs of improvement! Thursday morning he didn’t even recognize my grandmother, and while apparently his memory is kind of coming and going, he has had more coherent moments. He recognized my mom and thanked her for coming, and he also recognized his neurologist was hispanic and shouted “HASTA LUEGA!” hahahaha! More tests are still being done.
From Ross and I:
It goes without saying that we’ve been praying for Pap and he’s constantly been in our thoughts. We’re so hopeful that things seem to be getting better! Grandma, we’re also praying for you, that you’ll still be able to find time to rest and keep yourself in tip top shape for Pap. You’re a strong woman and you are dealing with everything amazingly well! We love you both!
From Megan (my sister/ your granddaughter):
I love you Pap! Get better soon, I can’t wait to see you. Stay strong and get better!!
Grandma – I love you! Keep hanging in there. You’re such a strong person and I know you’ll get through this. I can’t wait to come down in a month when I’m on break and see you and Pap. Love you both!!
From Amanda at Two Boos Who Eat:
You and your family are definitely in my prayers. My grandfather had a stroke when I was younger and it definitely shook my family up quite a bit. I know how scary and uncertain it can feel. Just now that you have someone in California praying for all of you!

My prayer for pap-
Lord, may you bring peace and comfort to the troubled and worried hearts of this family. Be with Pap and lay your healing hand over his soul. You bring hope to sadness and reason to despair and may we all have faith that you are with Pap during this time.

I just prayed for you all and will keep you in my prayers during this time of uncertainty and waiting. I pray for peace in the waiting period and healing for Pap.
It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. (Deuteronomy 31:8)

From Gracie at Girl Meets Health:
This is actually one of my favorite verses, and I can’t think of anything better for you and your family to rest on:
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” – Psalm 73:26
I pray that courage, strength, and peace be with you and your family (especially you – Grandma!). Sometimes these things are completely beyond our understanding, but know that God is in control and His peace PASSES all our understanding. Love & prayers. Keep us posted. xoxo
From Kaye:
Quick recovery to your pap. He’s a lucky one to have such a thoughtful granddaughter! Peace and strength to your family.
From Erica:
Lord, I pray that You will be with Lindsey and her family right now. I ask, Father, that You will be with Pap and that you will touch him with Your healing Hand. I pray that Your peace will surround his family as they go through this trying time and that you would heap strength on their heads. Give the doctors wisdom and guidance as they care for Pap. Thank you for hearing our prayers and for keeping this family tightly in Your grip. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
PS-Love you, Linds <3
From Lesley Lifting Life:
Times like these are never easy … but one thing I do whole heartedly believe, prayer does change things, and God is always there making ALL things work together for the good of those that love Him. I pray that the Lord will be with your family and bring comfort, peace and hope to believe that somehow, with Him, everything is going to be all right!
