Double the Fun!

Hey hey! What a fun day I’ve had! :D

Breakfast started with a fun treat. It looks like a decadent dessert, but it was a very thick smoothie of one cup of frozen cherries, one frozen banana, two tablespoons of chocolate brown rice protein powder and a tiny splash of unsweetened vanilla almond breeze. It was a little chalky from the extra protein powder, but this simple little breakfast ended up packing over 24 grams of protein! I was willing to overlook the chalkiness.

Work breezed by. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays I’m usually alone in the office, so I was doing all your standard crazy lady stuff of yelling at the computer, singing to music and stretching out my tight hamstrings in the middle of the office. It was awesome. :D

Also awesome was this sandwich. I had a serving of tofu (made crispy, which just means misting a nonstick pan with extra virgin olive oil and letting the tofu crisp up), homemade hummus, dijon mustard, local tomatoes, spinach, roasted red bell pepper and two slices of Ezekiel 7 Grain bread. I really love this Ezekiel bread, this and the Cinnamon Raisin are my favorite variations yet. :)

I also snacked on some unpictured tortilla chips. I’d say between the snacking at lunch and dinner there were probably two servings consumed?

Good thing I had double the workouts, double the fun today! :) Yes, I think I’m crazy, but I love it! I’m doing P90X and I did another “workout” too. I am the kind of person that is just in love with being active. Plus I love variety, which P90X is definitely giving  me. Today was a Shoulders & Arms and Ab Ripper X day. Ab Ripper X….yeah, let’s just say if there’s ever a moment where I want to/ actually do yell out “F*** YOU TONY!” it’s in the Ab Ripper X (pretend you didn’t see that, Grandma!). ;) I did already see improvement over Monday though! I loved Shoulders and Arms – not terrible, and fun! Well, after I was done with P90X I wanted to read some for my Nutrition class, but I get so distracted (or today would have fallen asleep…you’ll see why later), so I love reading while on the stationary bike. It kicks my wandering mind. ;) So I did a half hour on the stationary bike. Then realized I was tired. :)

Dinner was ready and waiting when I got home! Ross was here, so I had a spaghetti squash roasting in the oven. I topped it with some tempeh I had simmering with tomato sauce and served it with a cucumber salad of fresh cucumber and raspberry vinaigrette. I don’t know if it’s because I roasted the squash longer in the oven or what, but it was so deliciously rich and sweet!

I also had a glass of part fruit-sweetened cranberry juice and part seltzer water. Love my mocktails!

I had a free rental code for a Blockbuster Express video tonight so Ross picked up Time Traveler’s Wife since he knew how much I wanted to see it. So good! The book has been on my must-read list for a while, and despite crying my eyes out at the end, I still want to read it, too. Boys don’t get girls crying over movies, I’m certain of it. I tried to keep it in – and failed royally – and Ross looks over and goes, “what are you doing that for?! Cut that crap out!” hahaha. Me thinks he was sensitive and didn’t want me to make him start crying, too. Yeah, that’s it. ;)

I also had an unpictured snack of cereal tonight, and am about to go to bed soon. I’m loving everything about P90X so far, and I can’t wait to do Yoga X tomorrow morning! Here’s hoping I get a good night’s sleep! Between a late night, raucous party going on in the apartment right behind our bedroom wall Sunday night, family health drama, and being awoken at 4:00 AM last night (this morning?) with more loud, drunken debauchery going on nearby, sleep’s been scant. Last night’s was so bad, I had to turn a tv on to drown out the sounds long enough to fall back asleep! There was also puke at the bottom of the stairwell this morning. Awesome. I’ve got the number for the cops in my phone now, and I’m not afraid to use it!

How about you? Have you ever called the cops on someone? Have you ever had the cops called on you? I’ve done neither – but seriously, if this keeps up you can bet I’ll be calling the cops! 4 AM parties on a random Tuesday night/ morning is a bit much, especially because we do NOT live in the college side of Gainesville/ a college-ish apartment complex!

Good night!

Here’s hoping they are quiet tonight.

Oh, and I blame your blog title for the fact that I have the Doublemint Gum commercial song stuck in my head now :)

I would definitely call the cops. Who parties on a Tuesday night? So random!

    Ab Ripper X sounds insane!
