Double X Workouts

In addition to the delicious Hemp Bagels from French Meadow Bakery that I recently tried and reviewed here, I also picked up a loaf of Organic Flax & Sunflower Seed Bread. Ross and I both tried it today. He had two slices in a turkey and swiss sandwich at lunch and he liked it! He said he really enjoyed it and it tasted like a “normal” bread, and liked the wheat and seeds. (I find his mini-review comical – apparently other healthy-breads I’ve bought haven’t tasted “normal”?).  ;) I loved it! It had a great texture and flavor to it – my favorite breads are seedy breads that have some chew. :)

Thanks for the coupon that allowed me to try this bread for free, French Meadow Bakery!

I had a slice, toasted, with Trader Joe’s raw crunchy almond butter for a pre-workout snack.

And workout I did! On today’s P90X agenda was Shoulders and Arms (love this one!) and Ab Ripper X (you know my feelings…). Well, since I’m really making an effort to lose weight, I decided to kick it up a notch and also added Cardio X into the mix. Definitely tired now! And HUNGRY.

Dinner was another quick and easy meal thrown together post-workouts. Eating vegan really does not have to be difficult, you just need to make sure you keep a well-stocked vegan pantry and fridge.

We made quick salads of spinach, guacamole, salsa and crispy tofu seasoned with kosher salt, garlic powder and chili powder.

I also threw together some baked sweet potato fries seasoned with kosher salt, cinnamon, chili powder and garlic powder.

Delicious dinner! A bit on the light side, but never fear, we had some banana-cherry-brown rice chocolate protein powder soft serve afterwards, too. (For two servings: 2 frozen bananas in chunks, 1 cup frozen cherries, 2 T. protein powder – super delicious without protein powder, we just wanted the extra protein punch!).

I’m off! So much to do. :( Me thinks most will get pushed back to Friday, oh well! May as well just watch a few more minutes of Olympics before bed! How about Lindsey Vonn, eh? She deserves it!

I love that dinner. It’s perfect. :) Especially when served out of your Mrs. mug. Every time I pull out the Mr. and Mrs. mugs, I think of you darling! ;) Love them! :)

    Have a great day!
