Perfection in a Day

Saturdays can quite usually be the perfect days. They’re catch up days for everything from rest, errands, school, and life. They’re the perfect excuse to get together with an old friend. They’re perfect for frolicking outside under beautiful skies. They’re perfect for lying in the arms of the one you love. They’re perfect for branching out, they’re perfect for getting back to routine. Generally, they’re just perfect.

My perfect start to one of the most beautiful days we’ve had in a while was a savory breakfast. French Meadow Bakery Organic Grains Flax & Sunflower Seed Bread toasted and sandwiched with hummus and tomato.

Routine was established and errands were run.

Work outs were had and caught up on. I was feeling not quite up to par yesterday, so today I did both yesterday’s Legs & Back and Ab Ripper X and the Kenpo X scheduled for today. Some may call me crazy, but I really adore choosing to do two P90X workouts in one day. It makes me feel hardcore. ;)

Realization was had that I must be weird. Only weird people crave tofu as an in-between workouts snack.

More weekly traditions were realized with our family pizza night. :) My pizza had whole grain dough, marinara, black olives, tomatoes, mushrooms, vegan cheeze and oregano.

When I turned around from cutting my pizza, I saw Ross snapping photos of his pizza. You know your husband had adjusted well to marriage with a food blogger when…

I believe his pizza had toppings of cheese, black olives, tomatoes, mushrooms and turkey.

Several of these delicious little Banana Oatmeal Raisin Sugar Free Cookies were enjoyed between workouts and as dessert. :)

Saturdays are also perfect for balance between living life up and responsibility. Tonight’s a responsibility night for both Ross and I, because we both have class work to do (I have a Nutrition test I need to take by Monday night and Ross is taking courses for another teaching certification).

Gotta love being two married, responsible (lameeee) nerds on a Saturday night. :) Please tell me your plans are more exciting, I wouldn’t mind living vicariously through you while my nose is stuffed in a book. :)

Good night!

We actually went OUT to DINNER * gasp** to a Thai restraunt (I’m still looking for the perfect Thai place)… this one was ALMOST it…except the egg rolls were a lil mushy and my panang curry was WAY too spicy. : ( the search continues…..

Sadly, my life is way less exciting than yours.
Your banana oatmeal cookie creation looks so tasty.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
