P90X: Week 5

p90x-posters

Week 5 brought the first week of phase two, which both my husband and I were quite excited to start, seeing as it brought the last new DVDs to the circuit.

Day 1: Chest, Shoulders and Triceps & Ab Ripper X

Day 2: Plyometrics

Day 3: Back and Biceps & Ab Ripper X

Day 4: Yoga X

Day 5: Legs and Back & Ab Ripper X

Day 6: Kenpo X

Day 7: Rest or X Stretch

The new workouts for the week for Chest, Shoulders and Triceps and Back and Biceps. I’m a huge fan of strength training, so I enjoyed both of these workouts tremendously!

At this point the workouts have become pretty standard, because your level of fitness has already improved and you’ve gotten into a decent routine of working out six days a week. At the same time, it’s still not boring because you still have new workouts and your workout changes on a daily basis. Those with exercise ADD like myself love this. ;)

Confession time: my end-of-week workouts didn’t go too well this week. With my allergy explosion I was feeling really awful. Yoga was ditched after 30 minutes because when you have a stuffy head, going upside down/ leaning down just doesn’t jive. And stopping to sneeze, blow your nose and cough up crap every five minutes doesn’t work really well either. Day 5 workout was pretty standard, but Day 6 unfortunately didn’t happen because I was out of town and just caught up in living life with my wonderful family.

I wouldn’t have it any other way! It’s no big deal either, because I have time to do a double workout (basically the normal Day 1 strength plus a cardio workout) today before work.

So, another week under our belts! This past week is when we also officially passed the third-of-the-way through mark, too. Always exciting! We’re not really taking pictures every 30 days or anything, but we both feel that we can notice some small differences in our bodies overall. :) Here’s to continued improvement!

I can’t believe you’ve already been at this for 5 weeks! I can’t wait to see your results when you finish.

We got Insanity from some UCF kid who’s friend worked for Beachbody. He had P90X and several more Insanity boxes…crazy!

I can’t wait to see the results when you are done with the program. I have never known any one who has tried the P90X before. (Sidenote: Sadly I will not be going to Sarasota :( Instead I will have to settle for a North Carolina beach this summer but I’m not complaining since before I moved to Charlotte I was 2 countries away from the closest warm weather beach!) Hope you enjoyed your weekend girl! xoxo

Keep it up. I lost 23 pounds with P90X! If anyone is scared or isn’t really feeling up to the challenge then try something else like power 90 which is Tony Horton’s first program. Most people that are doing P90x always ask what should I eat? Well I think there are many options and by clicking here you have access to all kinds of P90x recipes and nutrition guides.

Ooh look, this one slipped past me. Don’t you think it’s rude to offer your own recipes and nutrition guides on my site featuring recipes and nutrition information? Removing your links, again.

I disabled the link in your name above because I don’t appreciate you preying on my readers to make a profit for yourself and better your personal beachbody team. I got a total of 3 people to look at my site from yours. It is not my intention to profit but to educate. I have lots of experience with the program so I apologize if I have offended you or your readers. I am a sincere person and just wanted to get the word out. I was wrong so go on and tell your readers how great P90x is.
