Bad Student

Y’all, I have been such a bad student today! Remember when I said I was going to be reading and studying ALL day? Yeah…there’s been some, but definitely not enough! Time to buckle down (and thank goodness I still have an extra day to take the test)!

Lunch was random as Ross and I were being lazy – sourdough bread toasted with smart balance (the light Smart Balance is vegan) and made into a sandwich with Publix Roasted Red Pepper Hummus and plum tomato.

When it came time for dinner, neither of us felt like cooking since we were both in full study and work-mode. But, we knew we had food to use up and we knew it’d be the responsible thing to do, so we made dinner here. It ended up being great, because we were able to take a break to cook together in the kitchen, get some dishes done, and prep some things for lunches and dinners this week! So glad we didn’t take the lazy way out!

Dinner ended up being BBQ tofu for me (Ross had a BBQ pork chop) along with some roasted baby red potatoes and roasted asparagus. Love asparagus!

Time to go be a good student and also to get myself organized! There’s lots going through my head lately, with different blog post ideas, meal ideas/ meal plans, workouts, schedules, a special FUN project out of town next weekend, and so much more. I’m a writer, so I think I’m just going to write it all down and then move on to study more efficiently!

How do you stay organized? I’ve always had to write things down. I was teased when I was wedding planning because I made lists for EVERYTHING. I do it for packing, grocery lists, and more, too! I may or may not have also been known to write out exact timeline/ schedules for really busy days and events. ;)

I think writing out timelines is completely normal! (fellow type A here) I’m all about lists. The other thing I’ve been trying to do more Odis single-tasking when I’m busy. Just focusing on one item at a time. It keeps my mind on the task at hand and helps reduce the distraction. I’ll also take 5-10 minutes to clean up my workspace (desk, kitchen, living room, wherever I am) as it also helps my mind focus on the task at hand.
