Crazy Monday

Yeesh, what a Monday! So, like I mentioned in last week’s P90X recap post, I’m switching things up a little bit. I’m trying to shoot towards having small meals throughout the day, as well as the fact that I’m adding in the Couch to 5k program for an extra 20 minutes of cardio three times a week.

I only have succeeded at these goals today!

Before working out I had a mini meal of chia pudding (2 T. chia seeds, 1 T. brown rice protein powder, cinnamon, 1 c. almond milk). Good, but next time I’d add less almond milk, a little too much liquid!

Then came a walk/ jog outside, which I LOVED. I forgot how much I loved starting my day with a little time outside and moving! Then I came back in for Chest, Shoulders and Triceps – that’s a muscle burning workout, for sure!

Lunch was crazy rushed and grabbed out the door! I had a whole wheat english muffin with half hummus and half vegan Smart Balance, and a dish of tofu, spinach, tomato and zucchini. Delicious!

Work was fun, but BUSY today! Plus, as soon as I got home I had to buckle down and take that online test! (Which, went well. Not my highest grade, but it was still an A!)

During those ten hours I also snacked on a Coconut Cream Pie Larabar at work, and some tortilla chips and hummus/ salsa mixture at home. By the time I was done with my test, it was almost 10:30, so I just counted the tortilla chips and salsa and this granola as "dinner".

Pathetic dinner, I know! I also just had some banana soft serve, too. (Just frozen bananas pureed into a soft-serve like consistency for you newbies).

Alll that to say, I really felt like small meals were working really well, until I got home and still had tons of other stuff to do. Good thing I can try again tomorrow!

Time to go prep a post for the morning on a rather controversial issue. Can’t wait to see the feedback from you smart and classy people out there!
