We are (sadly) back from our North Carolina vacation, and it’s already been a nonstop whirlwind since then! We drove from North Carolina on Friday (of course, with a Trader Joe’s stop on the way!) back home to Gainesville, where we immediately began doing more packing for our impending move. Saturday morning we awoke to drive south to Sarasota for the wedding of our friends Chris and Danielle! I’ve known them since they started dating back in our band days in high school, so it was fun to see how far God has brought them in their relationship!
We left the wedding a little early to head over and spend some time with my sweet Aunti Dee and Nannie. After some time with them, we headed back to my parents’ house, changed, went for a run, showered, then welcomed my parents and sister back from North Carolina! We had a fun night just relaxing with them last night and this morning, and then headed back to Gainesville this afternoon. We’ve spent the rest of the day packing, researching and searching for nice (used? sale?) futons and washers and dryers. Ahhh! It’ll only get crazier from here, too. The next two weeks I’ll be working and training someone to take over my job at work, in addition to continue to pack. I also need to research a new insurance plan for myself within the next 24 hours! Friday and Saturday we’ll be in Orlando for a wedding of some college friends, then back for a whirlwind last few days of more work & packing/ cleaning, then we’ll be in our new home!
More North Carolina recaps and pictures will be posted in the next few days, along with a product review, but for now, check out some pictures from the wedding this past weekend!
The groom awaiting his bride!
Beautiful bride and handsome groom!
Praying together during the ceremony.
The new Mr. & Mrs!
We snacked on some pita and hummus while we were awaiting the return of the bridal party from pictures.
Lovely cake! (I would be amiss if I didn’t tell you my loving husband took this shot – he’s quite proud of his skills!)
Photographing the bridal party being photographed!
First dance!
Our meal started with a wheat roll and an un-pictured delicious salad.
Everyone was served a plate with chicken breast, tilapia, mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was a huge plate! I ate less than half of the chicken and tilapia, all of the asparagus and some of the potatoes.
Bouquet toss!
Daddy-daughter dance!
Mother-son dance!
