Good evening friends! Hope you all have been having a good weekend! Mine’s been busy, but great! I will say say this, though: after hours and hours of working on the Healthy Living Blogs site, I’m looking forward to yoga in the morning! Speaking of, if you’re a healthy living blogger and you have yet to submit your information to HLB, what are you waiting for? After three days, we’re at 175 blogs listed and we’re still going strong! (read: the HLB inbox is still a disaster with many more people to be added.)
Fortunately for me, I was able to get out of the house and dragged away from HLB for a while to meet and hang out with some Jacksonville bloggers and readers! We headed out to an evening at Cheesecake Factory, and neither the company nor the food disappointed.
For my meal I got the vegetable chopped salad, no dressing, with salmon. Delicious!
Emily‘s not a blogger (yet! — that’s her twitter link), but she wanted a picture of her food on the blog. Breakfast for dinner! I believe it was wheat toast, roasted potatoes, and a custom omelet with asparagus and avocado. Maybe spinach, too?
Group shot of all the ladies! We kicked the gents out of the pic.
Devon, Ashley, Caron, Emily and myself:
I had such a wonderful time meeting and getting to know everyone and I look forward to more outings in the future!
Ross and I came home to watch the Next Food Network Star Finale (whoooo TEAM AARTI!) and enjoyed part of this delectable treat we brought home from Cheesecake Factory: Godiva Cheesecake.
I think Godiva Cheesecake was the first cheesecake I ever tried from CF. Seeing as I don’t think I’ve had cheesecake in over a year (months of being vegan will do that for ya!), it was only natural to rekindle the flame tonight.
I think we’ll be nibbling on it throughout the next few days!
Have a wonderful rest of the night guys, see you with a new recipe post tomorrow!

i had a great time with you and ross. you guys both ROCK. welcome to jacksonville!
i was thinking of another area you need to explore….st. augustine!!!
I think we’re going to try St. Augustine for our first anniversary!
Ashley,
you haven’t been yet?!
I’ve only been down here four months! But we’ve been to Savannah and Hilton Head Island!
We actually went to St. Augustine Valentine’s Day 2009. Loved it and can’t wait to go back again!
We still need to go to Savannah and Hilton Head though!
My gosh, lady, you are speedy!
We had an excellent time, too, and already ate our cheesecake, too.
I love the idea of HLB. Very cool. I love Cheesecake Factory. I swear all the food there is so rich it could walk home on its own. :p
The Cheesecake Factory is amazing. There are so many things that I love love from them, oh and their mini plates are great. I used to order their lemon herbed chicken (I like the mashed potatoes the best) a lot. My favorite? Avacado eggrolls.
I’m with you on Team Aartie (though I’m two weeks behind) but whoohoo anyway! I just sent you my info!
Love me some Cheesecake Factory cheesecake! We only get it about once a year. Normally for my bday…which is a week from today. Hmmmm.
I’m sure you are crazy busy with the HLB stuff. That’s a lot of emails to go through and organize.
haha yeah, I hadn’t had cheesecake in about a year with the whole vegan stint.
But cheesecake has always been a special occasion thing – like birthdays and even our wedding cake!! (and yes, it still looked like a wedding cake and everything, too!)
It was so great meeting you!
And if you explore St. Augustine, let me know! Its not very far away from my house
I’m sure will be around St. Augustine again sometime in the future! I’ll let ya know, I’d love to see your beautiful new house!
I went to the Cheesecake Factory last night and I must say they have wonderful salads.
When I order salad I don’t want some small thing I want a big bowl of salad! Cheesecake Factory does not dissapoint:)
