About

Welcome to Sound Eats and thanks for stopping by! Sound Eats is a place where I focus on various health topics and recipes. I believe health is so much more than how we exercise and what we eat. Health is part of those things, but I think being truly healthy also includes spirituality, relationships, happiness, balance and general wellness.

I’m a big believer in listening to your body. Our bodies are crazy amazing and if you let go, I believe your body will tell you what it needs, whether that be a big fresh salad or a juicy steak, or whether it be to go for a run, practice yoga or take a day off.

I also believe that we as humans all deserve respect. When it comes to healthy living, as long as people feel they are making educated healthy choices that they feel are best for them, respect that. Being vegan works best for some, being gluten-free works best for others, and eating everything in moderation works well for even more people. No matter what personal healthy choices we make, they are just that – personal choices – and we all deserve to love and respect each other despite our differences.

If this is your first time here I encourage you to look around. I hope you have a wonderful time!

So i guess i am asking for help how can i get the right amount of calories a day? See i am a heating& A/C Tech and I am in a work van alot and dont really have a kitch to reheat prepared meal. So your help will be greatly apperciated.

Congratulations! Oh how exciting for you. I actually started as a Nutritional Sciences major in undergrad, then switched to Public Health because I hated lab classes. I don’t regret it, but part of me wants to go back and get my RD someday.

I totally agree with you. Listen to your body — give it what it needs; supply it all of the nutrients it craves. I used to just ignore my body; I was orthorexic; I was obsessed; I limited myself. I finally realized that what I was doing to myself was a problem I needed to resolve. I needed to listen to my body. I needed a balance.

Hi, I’m a new reader, and found your blog from HLB.com! I wanted to say thank you for creating HLB. And you are so right when you say to listen to your body. Sometimes, our minds can trick us into wanting that big fat juicy burger, but really all your body wants and needs is a nice taco salad!
